Dr. Mario Garcia was born in Pinar Del Rio, Cuba and migrated to south Florida with his parents to start a new life in the United States. He completed some of his undergrad work at Miami Dade college and then transferred to study biochemistry at the University of Florida. At the university, Dr. Garcia initially was on a pre-med track and studying to pursue a career in dentistry. During that time he was by chance introduced to Chiropractic care by a family member. His grandfather began to receive Chiropractic treatment to relieve the pain he had in his spine from severe arthritis. Dr. Garcia and his family were extremely impressed with the results, and that experience sparked his interest so much that he made the decision to change his path toward pursuing a Doctorate in Chiropractic medicine. He enrolled at Texas Chiropractic College and there he mastered several bodies of knowledge including manual therapy, physical therapy, the management of sports injuries, advanced chiropractic technique for the spine and extremities and radiology.
Dr. Garcia has been in practice for over 30 years and has worked in Florida, Texas, and Illinois. He has extensive experience in the field of personal and work related injuries. He has also been certified as a Functional Capacity Evaluator which allows him to assess people’s level of core strength for rehabilitation.Â
